Where’s she?

Where, oh dear, where is she?  The Mrs. of the house, aka, Shelley.

Our, dear, deer, Shelley?

Not the dear, but Shelley.  Where is she?

She’s such a sly fox, is she trying to find something fun to eat?  Maybe…

Is she cleaning?  NOT – she did enough of that last month, are you kidding me, why even suggest that!?!  Something smells fishy though…

Is she on the beach somewhere tasting cocktails?  She wishes…

Nah…she’s just dreaming about saving for the next trip.

Is she trying to get rid of the ugly shoes?  MAYBE…there have been some good suggestions lately on how to get rid of them.  It might involve a trail cam and balloons and a FREE sign at the end of the driveway?  She’ll see ya all on the backside of that idea.

Is she playing in the garden?  She WISHES.

Her favorite outfit does consist of a camera and is that a skirt or shorts or pajamas?

Is she watching the fog?  As much as possible at this hour of the day.

Is she following Copper around the yard?  She wishes, he’s so cute, isn’t he?!

IMG_2963csskrupa3

Is she reading other blogger’s posts?  No, sorry, not today, maybe tomorrow…she’ll catch up, she promises! xx

Is she at the doctor’s office?  Nope – her gig as a plastic surgeon with essential oils is still working, no barnacle relapses, so far.  Go figure, right?

IMG_1433csskrupa3

Is she getting a pedicure?  She should…EWE!

IMG_4196csskrupa3

Is she being stalked by a really cute cat that is fickle about hoomans invading her turf?  We’re getting hotter…

IMG_4749csskrupa3

Is she on the road again… YEP – this time just a day trip with Mr. to meet with the little sprout of the family.  I wonder if he’ll offer to take Mrs.’ picture as she drives?

IMG_1751csskrupa3

SO where is she?  She flew the empty nest for the day…stay tuned…

Send your love to Copper, he loves his pup-sitter, but he stresses A LOT when Mrs. is gone.  Poor pup.

PS – Do you ever just take a day trip?  Where do you go?  What do you do?  What are you doing today?  What are you doing while you’re having fun?  So, do you think I’m wearing jammies or dressed and ready for the day already?

  1. Wherever you are going, Shelley, make it a wonderful day and enjoy your time with Little Sprout. It’s a beautiful day to be away and enjoy the sunshine.

  2. This is great Shelley! A fun format for a post, your shadow looks really cool on the fence. Copper is so cute all stretched out on his bed, I have done day trips, usually to the Valley of Fire or south to Laughlin, NV.

      1. Leaving tomorrow for a few days, death in the family. Was scheduled originally to go for a visit then this happened. Not fortuitous….

  3. I kept coming back to the photo of your cat. Anyone who still thinks cats are aloof needs glasses and a new heart. My day trips used to be a lovely walk down to the East River, where there were benches under willow leaves facing the fork where the river splits into 2 different bodies of water. What a view, what a breeze! I would sit and read for hours. Those benches are gone now … and so are my feet. So I live vicariously off your blog! More trips, please…

    1. Aw, Ellen, I do remember you love cats. The place you liked to visit sounds nice, I’m glad I can provide a bit of adventure for you through my posts. I so appreciate you stopping by here to share your thoughts.

  4. Copper is totally adorable. His sister too.

I used to take day trips but that has been forever ago. They wear me out. I prefer to stay home these days.

Still loving your gallery. All the pictures are so good!!

    1. Thank you, Jill! I tell ya…all trips wear me out these days, too. I’m not ready to give in to all my desires to stay put. Nice when the kids still need us, and that they aren’t that far away we can’t drive to see them. Glad you enjoyed the photos, thanks for stopping by!

  5. Have a great time today. Wonderful way to include all the challenges in one post. Love the shadow picture – I think you are wearing pjs 🙂

    1. Thank you, Janet! YES – you’re right ;-)! I couldn’t wait to get dressed, the lighting outside was too warm to miss ;-)!

  6. You sure get a lot of traffic in the backyard in the overnight. A mini road trip sounds fun – I was gone 8 hours and walked 8 miles on Saturday so I guess it qualifies as a mini road trip?

    1. Yes, we do. It was fun, wrote about it today. I’m so jealous of how many miles you got in. We’re still maxing out at 3 miles per day. If only there were more available bathroom stops… 😉

      1. You are on the treadmill in the morning though, or do you discontinue the treadmill when the weather is good and you can walk after dinner (I know you walk around and take care of the garden in the a.m. before work). We are having an off-and-on soggy week and weekend, so hopefully I’ll get my steps in … are you noticing how late the sun is getting up these days? Where did the Summer go? All the fits and starts and calamities made it whiz by.

        1. I’m only on the treadmill when the weather is raining or way too hot or way too cold. Otherwise, Mr. and I walk together. Usually in the mornings. This morning when I got up it was dark out. I’m NOT ready for the summer to leave yet, but this is the time of year fall things start appearing. I do like jeans and a sweatshirt kind of weather – I haven’t tried them on in months… I hope I walked enough to still fit into jeans! Seize all the moments you can outside walking!

          1. Fall is my favorite time of year too Shelley. I love the whole season, the pumpkin spice, harvest decor, colors and wearing long pants and sweatshirts again. Unfortunately it also heralds black ice in the morning on the perimeter path – it tends to get slick when there are foggy or dewy mornings. Another 5 weeks and I have to beware again. I thought you did the treadmill every morning all year around to get your walking/reading in for the day. I don’t like the darker mornings. My boss swims at sunrise every day in an outdoor community pool. This time of year, they light up the pool with a few lights if it is not moonlit like tonight. I couldn’t jump into a near-dark pool. Shades of Chrissie in Jaws. 🙂
