Prioritizing snow bills

What does the arrival of a snow storm and paying bills have to do with each other?

Not much, other than they happened on the same day – TODAY.

Someone was playing a joke and shook the snow globe while I paid bills.  The bills may have been slightly close to being behind.  The stack inside my storage cubby was ready to erupt and fall all over the floor.  It was building up higher than the snow piling up on the ground outside.

The whip cracker had to act fast.

Priorities…priorities…blogging fun…priorities!!

Anyhoo…maybe tomorrow I’ll find the time for blogging and responding to comments and taking photos.  The fun stuff.

Today’s allotted time is all gone.

Stay tuned – we’re on a mission to find our snow shovels, we weren’t ready for that task yet either!

Hugs, xx

  1. I’m never ready for snow. Our first snowfall was Halloween night. The next day I had an appointment in the morning and the car was covered in ice which was covered in snow. I didn’t know where my ice scraper was. But I’m ready now, bring it on!

  2. I’m a bit concerned by all of this early snow and expected colder-than-today weather forecast for next week. What’s happening Shelley? Are we entering an alternate universe or a polar vortex winter? Either way, it really needs to go away. Ugh.

    1. Me too!! I wish I knew what was happening and why we’re getting punished for being Packer fans!? That must be it – once they lost in California the weather turned cold… I agree, this weather needs to go back to the North Pole! Ugh – stay warm, Mary!!

  3. Crack that whip! Gotta have your priorities. And digging out snow shovels is one. We staked our driveway for the plow guy, too. It’s here.

    1. LOL – I love how you cheer the whip cracker in me on!!! 🙂 We need to hire one of those guys and maybe Mr. would be more excited to get out the shovels? I’m afraid winter is here to stay. 🙁

  4. Snow is a bad word in my dictionary. The Weather Channel says millions of you back east are in well below average temps, stay warm guys!

    1. Snow has it’s purpose for about two – four weeks around the holidays, otherwise, I’m with you. We are in frigid temps right now. It’s just not right!!

      1. Is def too cold for November, I agree! I’m purchasing my ticket for next month’s flight to Michigan and our family Christmas December 7. Just got home! Time to top off that pig aye?

        1. You’re going to brave the cold and come back this way?! Enjoy the trip and I hope the weather then has more ‘normal’ winter temps. Yes, top off that pig!

          1. Okay…clarify, I may have been thinking you were talking about going back home to Michigan to see your mom’s pig collection or something like that? 😉

    1. You’re lucky to have just the bills. We can count on both – snow and bills at this time of year. Bills burn holes in our pocket books and snow chills the bones. A poet I am not! 😉

  5. I find it odd how quickly your winter has arrived while we’re stuck in mid-October here. You should be warmer, we should be colder. What’s up with that?

    1. Winter arrived outta nowhere, I’m stunned by the early arrival. If you figure it out, let me know.
I’ve heard it is appropriate to blame it on Al Gore (not Al Roker) or the Packers. Hmm…

  6. It’s always a shocker when winter drops itself on your head unexpectedly. We are *decidedly* not ready for snow shoveling in these parts.

    1. Hey – on a side note, when I tried to go to your website from your Gravatar link, it said “site not available”.

  7. OMgoodness, Shelley! Snow, already here? Get the priorities out of the way and the fun stuff will be even more fun. I like your snow globe analogy:)

  8. Yikes – you’re worse than we are (as usual) – did you even get a chance to put the garden to bed? Better dig out Copper’s snowboots!

    1. Yes, I took one afternoon to get the beds in order for the winter. I left the Black-Eyed Susans for the birds to eat and spread, other than that, the rest can fend for themselves until spring. Copper is not happy about the cold. Poor little guy!

      1. I did it last Sunday – glad I did before this bitter cold – did all my “yard chores” except I knew there would be more raking – my ornamental has not lost any leaves, but they mostly drop in the garden anyway. Don’t blame Copper – poor little guy.

  9. (I zoomed directly to SPAM again.) The weather outside is frightful – too early for all the snow and cold. I’d like to hibernate the rest of Winter. Bet find Copper some snowboots even if he doesn’t like them.

    1. I recovered you! I’m with you on wanting to hibernate. Copper hates his feet being touched, he’ll have to go fast. Poor thing.
