Puzzle Pieces From Me to You

Today, let’s do something a bit different.

Let’s have you solve a puzzle about me?

What pieces of all of the pictures below together make a memory of mine you might not know about?

Besides me. Because, well, you know – I took all the photos so that’s obvious the post is about me!

Instead, it’s something hidden in plain sight. For the most part, that is.

Is it the wine and snacks?

Nope.

But wine and snacks have been known to appear in my photos…

What’s the difference between these two photos?

Is it about the weather that I love? Not really, but in a way, yes.

What has changed a lot in a month?

And another example below…is it really part of the guessing game about me?

Or is it a decoy?

Or am I hinting that perhaps the field with soybeans above is GMO…? Or No? The oranges were so – and one of them is still orange on the outside. WTH?!

One of them hasn’t changed since 7/1/2021? That orange on the left.

Is the puzzle about what I’ve transplanted from here to there?

What is it about my tea house makes me and my succulent plants so happy? Remember when I moved the plants out there in May? Now, just look at them. Are they the key to solving the puzzle about me that you don’t know yet? Or do you know if I drink tea in my tea house or just wine?

Or is it that I am a plant whisperer?

My plants sure do love the tea house in the summer. I reflect on them, or zoom in, or zoom out, and I have no doubt that they’re happy there. So am I.

Is that the answer to the puzzle – I love my tea house??

Or that I am lucky to have a tea house and the freedom to roam out there whenever I want?

There’s a connecting point in all of the photos, though, and it’s up to you to decipher what it is.

Is it the Catalpa trees?

Nope.

Are you on the fence? Do you think it’s that I lichen the fence?

Or is it something near the ground behind the tea house and next to the fence that I haven’t shared before? Do you think these berries are large or small?

Or is it something beyond the fence?

Are we getting colder or warmer with that hint?

Or is it a leading line connection you didn’t think of yet?

Is it that Copper knew my life would go on without him and I’d find moments of joy again someday? Or is it that I still miss my little buddy every day? I do, but that’s not it.

I think of him sniffing his little nose in the air as the wind blows across the yard. And I smile.

There’s a hint in the photo below.

Or is the answer that at this time of year I simply love to watch the pampas grass blowing in the wind?

From the moment I received this artwork as a gift in the 1980s, I’ve been fascinated by pampas grass.

I finally rehung the artwork yesterday. Then I placed the small paw print of Copper’s paw on the corner of the bench and placed the garden stone next to it on the floor in the spot he used to lay. My love for Copper, and of course pampas grass, shall remain as happy memories for me to treasure year after year.

What’s the answer to the puzzle? Well, it’s up to you – I don’t know what you don’t know about me!? LOL – I was just streaming my thoughts and tossing them out into the wind. On a side note, do you know if the featured photo is from this year, or do you recognize it from 2019? There’s another photo I shared back then in the bunch too.

PS – Thank you for stopping by today to play along. Fall is here in Wisconsin, the soybeans have dried out, and the pampas grass is in full bloom. What’s happening in your neck of the woods?

  1. I don’t know the answer to the mystery, Shelley. Tall grass is always beautiful swaying gently in the wind. ❤️

    1. Aw, thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts. Looks like I shall remain a mystery to you ;-)! Yes, tall grass is beautiful. Wisconsin road crews plant it often to line the highways.

        1. For the most part they are kept mowed, but when there’s enough space on the side of the road they plant the tall grass to decorate it.

    1. Thanks for reading and for commenting on my photos. I’m glad to read my photos do look like me, with all the “practice” over the years I do feel like I have a certain technique that seems to be me. 😉

    1. Thanks Janis – you’re very clever, so if I puzzled you, then perhaps I should stick to just photography instead of puzzle construction?! Glad you enjoyed the photos! 🤔😉🤣😊😂

    1. 😂🤣😊 LOL – I can’t guarantee a lack of wind or hot air. Sometimes I like to just ramble and make no sense. On purpose.
Yes, Copper is missed – he was a very important part of my life and my blog. His need to go outside fostered my need to keep practicing with my camera.
I am seeing more critters in the yard like you predicted I would. They aren’t as friendly as Copper so I can’t catch them with my camera as easily as I did with him. A new challenge is a good thing.

  2. Better catch that swaying pampas grass and the last of the perennials before your first Wisconsin snow settles over them Shelley. You have amassed a ton of photos from your almost-daily posts, of your garden, life from the window overlooking the deck, the tea house and yes, with the much-loved Copper, whom you said goodbye to four weeks ago today.

    1. Yes, I’m trying to catch as much outside time before it snows. I can’t believe I posted daily before!?!! And you’re right, I have a LOT of photos.
Thank you so much for remembering Copper and for all your support. He is still very much missed.

      1. Yes, bask in the sun Shelley. We had 82 degrees today, almost a record – tomorrow back to reality and 70. All too soon, we’ll gaze out the window to see snow. I will remember all the love you and Copper had for one another. Your devoted companion.
