Going Gray · Welcome

Going gray – 8 months the art of getting gray hair things done

If you’re pondering the going gray journey, you need to see yourself being gray before you’ll get it done.   You have to set your mind to do it!

When I look back now to what it was like when I first decided to go gray, I’m way more at peace with the decision and the journey.  I care a whole lot less about what people may think who aren’t into the going gray thing!

I made the decision to go gray and, whew…I’m almost to the finish line!  That was easy (well, sort of!).  It did take a lot of art to craft all the different stages of growing out the hair to get this done.

You won’t see how to do it until you see yourself doing it. – David Allen

David Allen is all about personally organizing and “Getting Things Done.”  I find his quote above to be perfect for those deciding to go gray.  You won’t see how to do it until you see yourself doing it.  (By the way, I would highly recommend David’s book and techniques for getting things done!).

So, here I am.  The before and after – 8 months.

I’m happy with the color, cut and just being me!  I may just keep it shorter, maybe…we’ll see.  My hair still shows some of the old color on the sides and tips, but way less than before.  I can see myself as I pictured what it would look like in the beginning.  Gray in the front and sprinkled in with my original (not colored) dark black in the back.  All me!!

Good graycious, if you can picture yourself going gray you can do it too!
