You’re kidding me, right?

Over dinner last night, I mentioned to Mr. that it’s about time for me to actually pack our clothes into the suitcase to make sure everything fits.

Mr:  “Uh, huh…Women, what is it about them and all their clothes?  If you weren’t taking so many swimsuits, it wouldn’t be such a problem.”

Me:  “I’m only taking two, the one piece and the tankini with bottoms.”

Mr:  “What about the bikini that you’ve been stressing about?”

Me:  “I sent that back.”

PS – Do you know anyone with selective hearing…it’s okay to count yourself in the mix!?

  1. Have a wonderful, awesome time on a warm beach. You and the non-reading hubs deserve it after dealing with the snow and cold this winter.

    1. Thank you, Mary! Our anticipation to be away from this snow is palpable. But first, one more round of 8-12″ on Sat-Sun will be occupying our packing time. Sigh… But then, we’ll be ready for the beach!

  2. I think I hear everything, but, like the cats, I don’t process everything. I hope you have a wonderful time. Make sure the cat isn’t in the suitcase (our little one tries that sometimes).

    1. LOL – that’s the same excuse Mr. uses! 😉 Oh, our redundant fluff cat has already tried to climb into the luggage. They want to make sure to send cat hair along to remind us to come back!

  3. Beautiful photos. Your cat is adorable and probably engages in selective hearing… so can I say I know him? Could that be my answer to your question?

    1. Thank you! She thinks a lot like a person who selectively hears, yet has the intuition of an owl and keeps an eye on everything. I’m happy to have you answer any question in any shape or form, your wit always cheers my blogosphere’s mini-world!

  4. It’s getting close aye! Have a blast down there guys. I love your kitty photos! 🙏🏻😻😻🙏🏻

    1. So close…yet so far off, one more 8-12″ snow storm and we’ll be good to go! Hopefully. Thanks for the kudos for Tizzie, she’s a ham sometimes. But always a cat.

  5. Ah, yes! I am very familiar with the selective hearing…issue. You are not alone. Can be a bit crazy-making! Happy packing :). You must be so excited.

    1. LOL – it goes with the turf I guess. Thanks, we’re getting close now. Just have to survive the next storm that’s coming this weekend!

  6. Cute post, Shelley! You deserved the vacation after deep in snow. Yeah, women and their clothes lol. I can definitely relate to that. When we went to Singapore I brought so many clothes lol.

    1. Thanks, Winnie! We’re just always prepared, I guess!? I’m glad you confessed you took too many clothes too, by the way ;-)!

  7. First time I see your blog and what do I see …. cats ! That let me forget your Bikini troubles, lol ! I am also a cat lover

  8. Shelley, please keep us posted with oodles of pictures (instagram) showing us all the fun you and hubby are having. Take lots of photos of the beach especially. Can’t wait!

    1. Oh, don’t worry, you’ll see them. I’m am unplugging during the trip, but afterward, watch out! :-)! BTW your trip looked like you had fun in the sun! Glad you finally made it back!

  9. Selective hearing – yup, have been there and done that before. Great B&W pictures of your cat that mirror what you are writing about – very clever!

    1. I think we all do, I do too…! Thank you. I took those last year sometime, and just couldn’t resist reusing them.

      1. They were nice – I have not done any posts with B&W unless they are truly vintage pics (gulp – even pics of me as a baby or child). I went to a Model A car exhibit last year and did one photo in B&W but that’s it.

        1. I like to shake it up once and awhile. I participated in Cee’s B&W challenge, and it was fun to use the B&W versions of the cats. But normally, I’m happy with color. Especially green, instead of WHITE! 😉
