Road trip

Where am I?

Heading out on a road trip.

I’m super excited to travel for work.

In the direction I’m heading, it is close to one of my kids!

Yay, I get to see my daughter.

I’m taking a solo road trip – don’t ya worry about me, I’m a big girl – just like her.  And I may even be able to figure out Google Maps on my phone.  And I think I know my way there.  Mr. drove last time.  Or maybe I did?  I can’t remember!

And…I might even take a silly selfie of me behind the wheel.  That’s what other people do, right?  I never understood why that is so important, but I digress.

I’m off on an adventure!!  YAY!

Don’t worry – any at all – I’ll be back again…soon – before you even notice I was missing!

Hopefully, I’ll bring back with me some fun adventure stories that don’t involve flat tires or mixed up directions, or bad weather.

Sigh…those silly worries seem to fly when I’m getting ready to head out.

Take care, keep smiling and y’all come back again soon, too!

  1. Road Trip! Looks like a lovely day for a drive. I hope you have fun and how nice that you get to see your daughter! Those were my favorite work trips. 🙂

  2. Have fun! I love road trips and I love driving so solo trips are fine with me. Reminds me of when I was young and took off whenever I felt like it.

  3. Enjoy! I hope you have safe travels. And, if that last photo is a selfie, I’m nominating you for the “Third Arm Photography Award#

  4. Safe travels Shelley and though you won’t be dipping your toes in the ocean, or wiggling your toes in the sand, you’re having a little getaway with a great purpose. We’ll look forward to you regaling us about your trip. Don’t forget to pack Tostitos in case of construction and sitting there forever … it’ll occupy your mouth and your mind. 🙂

  5. Hi Shelley, Seeing your daughter, is extra special. I am sure you will have stories to tell. Have a wonderful, safe adventure. I look forward to reading more:)

  6. I just returned from my solo road trip to your state. We had beautiful weather and I stayed in the hilly part of the state – I thought it was all flatlands so I was pleasantly surprised. Good trip, not so good circumstances, but we do what we do for the people we love. Hope you have/had a great trip and see some new, inspiring sites.

    1. Glad to hear you had a nice time in our state. Yeah, there are some hills here and there. They are beautiful with the changing seasons. Thank you for your well wishes.
