Has the right bikini made it over the hill yet?

Are you ever going to put a cap on it?  Swimsuit spending is getting out of control?  It’s getting boring too, trying to find the right one.  Don’t yawn, pretty please, don’t.  This is really important to me.  Even if it involves snow and a bikini again.

Holy crap, by the way, the boring view of snow is taking its sweet ol’ time to move about the yard, sticking in new spots, not moving outta here anytime soon.  Even with the wind.

But, seriously, dagnabit, I can just imagine your face, too (it’s like Mr.s’ isn’t it?).  You’re about to yawn at the potential for one more post from me about a damn bikini…and the snow and ice.

You’ve all been hanging on each day, just about to drip your last drip,

IMG_0839csskrupa3

ready to push that final, un-follow button.

And be gone forever…following wherever the blogosphere winds may take you.

What can I expect by writing about a skimpy bikini and skin folds and snow every day for 16 days in a row?

I should interject that it’s even kicked me in the ass enough to eat Tostitos………….!  Two nights in a row, 2-3 (or more, we stopped counting) servings at a time!  Yeah, I did.  I love them and missed them so much, I couldn’t stop once I started.  And I’ve slept like crap, too.

And, Ewe, all my talk about hanging aging skin sh*t, pushed me over the edge and I pushed those crazy post-its and hanging bikini reminders I’ve had blocking the view to the back of the pantry closet and grabbed the bag of chips before they expired.  It was Valentine’s day and my ‘guaranteed alternate bikini/tankini shipment on 2/14/19’ didn’t show up until yesterday.

That’s why I resorted to the stomach post.  Ugh…what a surefire way to form a wall of doubting curves and waves and big scary things between me and my readers.

That stuff is just plain ol’ creepy…even if everybody has that kind of stuff poking out on their bodies, too.

But, here I am, yet again.  Ready to try to share some weirdo thought that dripped down to my keyboard, to pique your interest, just as you’re about to give up on me, too.

It helps to change the angle and grab a different lens.  To really zoom in and let the thoughts take off and see what forms.

I get it, my grandiose idea at the beginning of the month to write about all this stuff, aka, before the pre-Tostitos breakout of 2/14/19, has been a snore to write about, too.  Who the hell cares about my obsession with aging skin in a swimsuit anyhow?

Did you just nod?

IMG_0861csskrupa3

Stop nodding…I think I saw you nod?   Or are you dozing off?

IMG_0851csskrupa3

Was that a snore, too?  It was definitely a nod.  I know a nod when I see one.  I did the same thing after I ate too many chips.

My loyal fans here on the home front feel the same way.  They have been in hiding, trying to avoid the questions like, “Does this one look okay, or should I wear a cover-up?”

Mr. told me I’m gonna need a bigger suitcase when another shipment arrived yesterday.  Yeah, I ordered another shipment to see if maybe that would sparkle my desire to wear it out in public, amongst all the other beachgoers hanging out in the surf.

Who, by the way, won’t give a damn either.  I’ll be just me and the Mr. who will be walking together on the beach, with not a care in the world.

IMG_0836csskrupa3

Well…after all that.  I’m running out of time.  The ice is melting, and the trip will be here before I know it.  I’m hanging on with a thin thread – will it be the skimpy one or the better coverage one?  That is the decision to be made.  TODAY…

IMG_0840csskrupa3

I have only so much time to figure out which suit I’ll wear so I can maintain the pre-beach weight up until we hit the plane and escape from these snowy parts.

So…did I finally get over the mountain of folds and skin issues and find the right bikini for my over the hill body?

IMG_0830csskrupa3

Oh, my…sh*t, sorry, not yet, instead of modeling them last night, I sat on my ass and I ate chips.  So…I better go model them for Mr. to decide.

Has anybody seen him?

I think he might be buried in the snow somewhere?  Or hiding…

PS – The snow is quite fascinating to watch in the wind, don’t you agree?  Hope you all have a great Saturday…and thanks for the read, I really appreciate you!  I hope that you’ll stop by again to see what I’m up to next – thanks for hangin’ in there with me.

  1. Your photos of the snow are really beautiful. And – did you know – studies have shown that Tostitos are often necessary to survive long cold winters. (!) 🙂

  2. OK, I read the whole thing, but, odd as this seems, my question is “what is a serving of Tostitos?” I mean, I just eat them until I don’t want anymore and I call that a serving. Is there actually a measurable quantity of chips in a serving? Is it a multi-digit number?

  3. Your snow photos are really beautiful Shelley! I’ve not tired of any of your posts, always nice to see you in my inbox! 😎

    1. Aw, thank you, John! I don’t have the lovely blue skies and palm trees like you have, so it’s nice to know you appreciate my words and my photos!

  4. You have a photographer’s eye and an appreciation for the beauty of light on snow. I love the pic of your cat also: trying to look pretty — and succeeding!

  5. Hi – I cannot find a way to leave a comment on the 10 mistakes of 2018 ?
Anyhow – for this post I really like the creative compositions – you have nice originality-

    1. Aw, thanks! My ‘theme’ and my settings prevent old comments (long story about frustrations with WordPress!). I appreciate your feedback, sorry for any frustrations!

      1. Oh I did not realize the 10 blogging mistakes post was old? And I have turned off comments on my old posts – went into settings and did it because of bots and spam comments – but I think you can decide when they close –
And I did not see any comments at all for that post I am mentioning – hm

        1. Thanks for the mention, I’ll have to look into that? – I’m not sure how it works. That post is over 30 days old. I have the setting set to turn off for anything over 30 days. If I don’t do that, all of my posts from when I had a previous domain name change, will crash and burn.

          1. got it – and the only thing I wanted to share was I think you have a good view on blogging – you touched upon many things we wrestle with – thinking of the reader vs what we want.
And I again learned something you mentioned – and we must blog for ourselves first. Even if it means less readers, I post for me and for what i want – this also means I cannot join certain challenges (they have certain rules and those rules are not how I want to post – if that makes sense) – but it is so nice when we find our groove and pace

          2. Thank you for going above and beyond to share your thoughts about that post. I appreciate hearing them. I’m always grateful to hear it when bloggers are following their own voice and their own desires for their blogs. They shine when they do! 🙂

          3. You are so right about the shining – and really glad to have interacted via blog this weekend – I think I made my way to you from bush boy’s blog – not sure – but glad I did and wishing you a nice week

          4. I’m glad you found your way here and reached out! I love Brian’s blog – it’s so fun to visit his neck of the woods in Australia, plus he’s funny too! Like you, he has a great sense of humor!
