A royal dog’s view on fashion diva research

While I’m dreaming of pastures of green grass, petals of flowers flowing down on me from the sky, and my adoring fans…the Mrs. has been dreaming of the perfect capsule wardrobe.  Whatever the hell that is?  I think she’s getting close to finally discovering the proper definition, but she’s thankfully taking a break today!

Let me tell ya…this fashion diva research quest the Mrs. (aka, Mom) has going on is quite the snore for me.  Maybe it’s the weather that has her going all batshit crazy about it, I don’t know?

I do know it has been so hot outside and the humans have been complaining about it.  Heat makes humans do strange things.  I frankly kind of agree with them on it’s too hot outside to go out.  When I’m outside, I look for shade as quickly as possible.

I despise running around in the heat and on the dry and crunchy grass, so I have been reticent in my attempts to go outside beyond my usual ‘do-your-job’ business routine, and have been hanging around on the pavement when we do go outside.

We go inside quickly and then I’m back to just waiting for her to get done with her research.  There appears to be an endless plethora of data to study.  At least we take breaks for food.

Over dinner last night, while I waited for scraps to appear on my pile of food on the floor, I heard mention that finally today it is going to rain (we’ll see, apparently weather forecasters can be wrong a lot when it comes to predicting rain…it’s been a long time since we’ve had any).

Rain or shine, all I know is that it’s been what seems like 3 whole days of me being bored.

Oh, I do watch out of the corner of an eye as I wait around for something less nondescript to happen (once I saw her move, but then realized it was just her doing leg squats to unfreeze her standing pose), some form of excitement, or at least an adventure outside with Mom and the camera would be nice.

Is that too much for a dog to ask for?  I don’t think so!

I tell ya…like I said, this diva fashion research has been quite the snore session for me.

At least I’ve got a comfy bed.

Ah…don’t get me wrong, it ain’t that bad after all being the royal dog of this household.  Someday maybe they’ll even put a crown on me.  I’ve got silver hairs to prove of my longevity as the King.  I’m normally not shy about showing them off.

I’ve found little ways to have fun.  I manipulate her into serving me down at my ground level during breakfast and dinner, (check out my video on Instagram today…yeah, I know how to trick her!) and then I take a nap while I dream of running free in the yard in the green, green, grasses of a home sweet yard.

Cheers to Monday – at least today she’ll be back at work and I won’t have to listen to the other women’s voices talking about the perfect capsule wardrobe.  (One lady she’s been fond of has a French accent – as I dozed off once I dreamed I was transported over a cerulean sky to France…wait…maybe that’s where I’m getting my royalty wannabe thoughts from…OMG, I may be a convert to YouTube too!?!)

PS – Do you have a dog who is the master of making you feel sorry for boring them?  Have you ever watched Justine on YouTube?  Who is your favorite fashion advisor?  OMG…Copper is right, it is a good thing it’s Monday and I get back to a normal routine!  Thank you for stopping by!  We love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Loved your post from “The Kings” point of view. Precious. And yes I too get the boredom look when I am sitting for long periods at the computer. They are special loves aren’t they. Beautiful area where you live.

  2. I’m thinking he’d appreciate it even less if your fashion adventure spilled over onto him. He’d look cute in a Robin Hood costume. Whoops. Maybe I shouldn’t have said anything. LOL!

    1. LOL – You’re right and Copper says “Don’t get Mrs. started on fashion clothing for me, I hate even having my nails trimmed, I can’t imagine someone touching me with clothing!” 😉
