A courageous cat

I often find myself in unlikely predicaments.  According to the humans, my appearance in those locations labels me as the naughty cat of the house.

But, if you and I were to get up close and personal about it, I’d tell you the spots I find work for me.

Because, where I perch I’m able to observe dubious activities of visitors.

Some instances are real, but I’ve been known to have an occasional imaginary one, too.

My carefully chosen spots often end in an abrupt removal to a lower location.

But, we all know my relocation to the floor doesn’t prevent me from future attempts.

Nope, I never give up trying.  When that happens, I give the humans the stare.

And I go off on my own to take nap instead.

Humans tend to forgive me when I’m cute.

  1. Awesome post … I am learning … that lectures don’t work along with precise or even hopeful instructions. I have learned she has the ability to walk or sit on the keyboard and hit the one key that turns off the computer. Also, I don’t sleep late if she doesn’t want to sleep late. I wonder if when she gets as large as your kitty if I will be fully trained or still in need of refresher training. Thanks for the smile. g

    1. LOL – right back at ya for the smile for the day! She will slow down once she gets to the hefty stage like Dessy. In the meantime, I hear squirt bottles with water work for training? Sounds like Kat has claimed her place in your life, and that’s a great thing!

  2. You got her, right on target. I wonder what she’s dreaming about in that adorable pose? Carnegie Hall? A scholarship to Harvard? A bird in the back yard? She’ll never tell.

    1. Dessy is destined to be a star of the show no matter where she goes – she adores you as her fan! 😉

  3. Love this post! Reminds me of my three fur babies. They all have such special personalities, don’t they?

    1. Thank you, Tanys, so nice to hear from you – a fellow cat lover!! Yes, they all have their own personalities, makes life interesting!

  4. Here’s my latest assessment of Dessy’s ‘behave’: all cats are born with an imprint of self-sufficiency in the wild, but most lose it along the Fancy Feast trail. Others are not so easily seduced and look on humans as merely providers of cool sinks and warm rugs and creatures who occasionally need a little help with what they’re having for dinner.

    1. So very true, Ellen. You’re a true cat lover! Dessy approves of your critique! And…I’m so happy to hear from you!! xx
