Surprises in morning’s golden glow

Upon rising, I heard the noise of thunder rumbling, and I noticed the bedroom window aglow from a yellow tinted sky.  In golden-glowing mornings I know it’s a premonition and a coincidence that grabbing my camera will result in some picture-worthy moments.

Looking at the dark sky I had a hunch the thick clouds would keep the sunrise from breaking through.

It tried, the tiny orange spot is the sun fighting to glow through the clouds.

The rain clouds won, and the sun’s battle was lost.

The rain began to fall.

And…with the rain, I guessed it right, yep, my Bearded Irises were finally in bloom.  I’m so happy to see them, when it stops raining I’ll grab my camera again!!

I bet the smart farmer who planted corn seeds two weeks ago knew it was the right time to plant.  The corn popping up in the field will be knee-high by the 4th of July and the farmer will be happy, too!

Saving my best morning premonition for last…in the dark, I navigated right past this surprise present from one of our cats.

Well, isn’t it just precious?  Doesn’t it look lovely in the golden light?  Jealous aren’t you?  I’m sure this explains the howling for food…instead of the full moon!

So yeah…there you have it, my fun early morning camera adventure glow I had going on was broken…a cat parent’s job is never done.
