A day spent enjoying the simple routine of life is where my pleasures are found. I must confess, a vacation on a beach tops the simple routines of life, but then again, that’s only temporary. Simply loving my daily life is one of the best pleasures I can think of.
What are some of my favorite pleasures?
Taking a walk with a friend in the clovers.
Copper’s early morning anticipation for a walk around the yard. We love watching the sun come up.
Capturing dew drops on the grass.
Working in my home office, with napping pets surrounding me. Copper alternates between his pillow and the rug on the floor.
Dessy consumes the chair in the corner.
Where’s Tizzy…? In a box somewhere, sleeping with her eyes open, waiting for her sister to appear.
Random visitors to our yard. Sometimes even a surprise visit by a bunch of turkeys who wander in.
Flowers in the garden.
Or in a small little vase, to decorate my office space.
A new recipe, with fresh green peppers from the garden, cooked by the best chef ever aka, my husband. I’m spoiled, yes, I know! We’re both grateful for the Instant Pot!
His tried and true, mouth-watering, steak on the grill, with sweet potatoes and veggies on the side.
